3-day ski tour to Austria’s tallest mountain

  • Tour in the Hohe Tauern National Park
  • Ascent to the Böses Weibele at 3,121 m and the Teufelskamp at 3,503 m
  • Grossglockner 3,798 m

First day: Welcome at 5 pm in the Lucknerhaus (1,920 m)

Dinner and programme discussion.

Second day: Böses Weibele (3,121 m)

One of the most famous ski mountains in the Schober Group. The ascent starts at the Lucknerhaus going into the Peischlachtörl, where the summit ridge is reached via two rope pitches. Brief walk from the ski depot to the summit. Downhill on gorgeous slopes past the Lesachalm down until Oberlesach. Back to the Lucknerhaus by taxi.

  • Descent: 1,700 altitude metres
  • 5 hours

Third day: Teufelskamp (3,503 m)

Ascent to the Stüdlhütte hut, the starting point of our Glockner ascent. After a brief rest, we tour to the Teufelskampf (3,503 m) across the wide glacial areas of the Teischnitzkees wearing a light backpack. Gorgeous panoramic view of the Pasterze and icy northern side of the Glockner massif. Downhill on even hills back to the Stüdlhütte hut (2,802 m)

  • Ascent: 1,590 altitude metres
  • Descent: 700 altitude metres
  • 5-6 hours

Fourth day: Grossglockner (3,798 m)

On skis via the Ködnitzkees to the Adlersruhe (3,454 m). Continue across the “Bahnhof” to the Leitl, Kleinglockner and Glocknerscharte to Austria’s highest summit. Descent back to the ski depot and long downhill to the Lucknerhaus. Departure.

  • Descent: 1,900 altitude metres
  • 5-6 hours


  • Safe parallel skiing in all types of snow
  • Skilled in walking with skins and using the kick turn
  • Surefootedness
  • Experienced in using the crampons and ice-axe
  • Endurance of approx. 6-8 hours
