Ice climbing in Gastein

Climbing frozen waterfalls is one of the most appealing forms of mountaineering. Ice is fascinating and diverse. Hardly any other natural structure can be found as many forms and variations as ice. And that’s what makes it so interesting: You always discover something new. The ice cream is never like the day before or last year. The structure of the ice often changes within hours.

Thanks to my many years of work in the teaching team of the Austrian mountain guide training, I have a lot of experience and knowledge in the field of ice climbing. It would be my great pleasure to introduce you to this fascinating sport on your active holiday in Gastein.
